Long time NFL draft analysts Mel Kiper and Todd McShay released their 2017 NFL Draft version 4.0.

Their Top 10:

Mel Kiper:

  1. Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett (DE)
  2. San Francisco 49ers – Solomon Thomas (DE)
  3. Chicago Bears – Jonathan Allen (DT)
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars – Leonard Fournette (RB)
  5. Tennessee Titans – Malik Hooker (S)
  6. NY Jets – Jamal Adams (S)
  7. San Diego Chargers – Deshaun Watson (QB)
  8. Carolina Panthers – Derek Barnett (DE)
  9. Cincinnati Bengals – Corey Davis (WR)
  10. Buffalo Bills – Marshon Lattimore (CB)

Todd McShay:

  1. Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett (DE)
  2. San Francisco 49ers – Solomon Thomas (DE)
  3. Chicago Bears – Malik Hooker (S)
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars – Jonathan Allen (DT)
  5. Tennessee Titans – Marshon Lattimore (CB)
  6. NY Jets – Mitchell Trubisky (QB)
  7. San Diego Chargers – Jamal Adams (S)
  8. Carolina Panthers – Leonard Fournette (RB)
  9. Cincinnati Bengals – Mike Williams (WR)
  10. Buffalo Bills – O.J. Howard (TE)

Most noticeable is the rise of QB Mitchell Trubisky in Todd’s board.  This pick has been aided by the Jets pickup of veteran Josh McCown and viewed as a mentor situation to raise the young QB in competition with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.  Moving up for Mel is QB Deshaun Watson to the Chargers under the aging and uncertain future of Philip Rivers as the Chargers move to a new city.  Myles Garrett is and has been the solid can’t miss #1 pick as the defensive pass rushing superstar.  Leonard Fournette continues to be the undisputed #1 RB.

Mel and Todd debate on the best WR between Corey Davis and Mike Williams.  They both have them close together in the draft.  Williams provides more dominant physicality and ability to win the 50/50’s while Davis is a slightly better route runner and quicker on his moves.

The defensive secondary is up for grabs between safeties and corners Hooker, Adams and Lattimore.  From their recent performance, it seems Adams should surge ahead in the next mock as he ran a low time of 4.33 40-yd dash in his pro day.
