New York Yankees Rookie Aaron Judge: Have a Seat Fans

Have a seat, it’s a long ride through a major league baseball season, as Yankee fans are reminded on August 9th watching Aaron Judge continue his league leading 26 game strike-out streak. Let’s remember we’re talking about a .294 hitter with 35 homers and an OPS of 1.037 – on August 10th. It appeared a few days ago that Judge realized what was causing his prolonged slump, and that he believed adjustments would soon be made. “The last couple of weeks, I got off my approach, and when you get off your approach here in the major leagues, people...

Yankees Star Aaron Judge: Keeping it Rolling in the 2nd Half

Aaron Judge has been a dynamo for the Yankees offense this season, always in the game, always swinging for the flat screen displays, always diving for the ball.  Judge appeared in 96 of the first 99 games for the Yankees, then went to the All-Star event where he put on a show in the Home Run Derby, and then started the All-Star game the next day.  So Yankees’ fans understood when Judge was rested on Wednesday, but expect, and I do mean expect, him back in the line up today. Matt Holliday: Spotlight on Return from DL

Since DH Matt Holliday (along with Starlin Castro and Aaron Hicks) went on the DL on June 28th, the Yankees have sported a disappointing 4-11 record and sputtered on offense, excepting Clint Frazier’s walk off homer on July 8th to beat the Brewers. Holliday has been important to this Yankee team in 2017.  Let’s remember, he’s a former batting champ (2007), NLCS MVP (2007), seven time All-Star and four time Silver Slugger Award winner. Yankee fans should also know that he changed his number to 7 after signing a 7 year, $120 million dollar contract with St. Louis to...
